Registration starts before you get to the press
Most registration pain is created during screen making. Align the films consistently and the press stops being where you lose an hour.
If registering a multi-color job feels like wrestling, the problem usually is not your press or your patience. It is that every screen got its film placed slightly differently, so you are correcting for an error that was baked in before the screen was ever exposed.
This template fixes the upstream half. You use it to place registration marks in the same position on every film, which means every screen arrives at the press already close.
What you get
The digital file of the simplified template — not the printed version. With the file you can create registration marks on your films that match it, and you can take it to a print shop like FedEx or Staples and have it printed on film or foam core.
Want the detailed version? Or would rather not join an email list? It is $7 in the shop. A version already printed on foam core is available there too.
